The True STR1R-1S-HC is constructed of high-quality materials that are built to endure the most hectic kitchen settings.
The True STR1R-1S-HC is energy efficient in keeping its contents cold due to the entire cabinet structure and doors being insulated with foamed-in-place, high density polyurethane. The frame rail is welded of heavy-duty steel, and coated with black powder to prevent corrosion. The exterior is constructed of a stainless-steel front and sides -- all of which are resistant to rust and corrosion. This powerful configuration of metals will allow your unit to stay as beautiful as the day you bought it as long as it is properly cleaned on a regular basis.
The solid, stainless steel door include a positive seal self-closing feature and life-time guaranteed door hinges. This door also includes a stay open feature for stocking purposes, but only if the door has been pushed passed an angle of 120 degrees. This unit has a bright LED interior lighting that is activated when the door is opened, shining on three adjustable PVC coated shelves.
The self-contained refrigeration system of the True STR1R-1S-HC runs on R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Unlike other types of refrigerant, the R290 is natural, it has zero ozone depletion potential and is extremely environmentally friendly. It uses a state-of-the-art, electronically commutated evaporator and condenser fan motors. The ECM motor operates at high peak efficiency and moves a consistent volume of air through the system. The constant movement of air provides your refrigerator with quicker recovery times. All of these components work in unison to maintain the standard operating temperature of 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
Although it is not recommended to store items on the top of a refrigerated unit that is top mounted, it doesn't mean this style of refrigeration is any less useful than a bottom mounted one. If you work in a kitchen that bakes from scratch and uses dry ingredients such as flour and other spices you’ll never have to worry about the refrigeration system getting clogged up. Why? Because it's difficult for those ingredients to clog up a unit placed on the top! One less thing for you to worry about!
